Battle : Los Angeles (2011)


Plot : Los Angeles and other cities around the world are being bombarded by meteors that seem to be slowing down once they hit the earth's atmosphere. The earth is suddenly being invaded by space aliens that have landed off the shore of LA, and who begin killing everybody along the beach. The military is ordered into action. Marine Staff Sergeant Nantz (Aaron Eckhart), who was about to retire, is reassigned to a new platoon. The platoon, flown by chopper to the forward operating base at Santa Monica Airport, is being led by a new 2nd Lt. Martinez (Ramon Rodriguez). They are sent on a mission to rescue some civilians who are trapped at the police station within alien territory. They only have 3 hours to complete their mission and get out before the Air Force bombs that zone.

Kembar Siang (2011)


Plot : "Kembar Siang" is about a pair of twins named Awal and Awi (both played Kamal Adli). Awal is the elder of the two and Awi is mentally ill, due to a fever when he was young. Amazingly, Awi has superb memory and an extraordinary ability to count, often tutoring Mazli and Izan after school. The twins have a house and a grocery shop given to them by their late father Haji Sabran. They are rivalled by another grocery shop run by Pak Din Duda (Sabri Yunus) who is not honest and always trying to make a quick buck.

Plot : Rama is a supervisor who is looking for a driver at the last minute to deliver out of town. He manages to get Ah Meng and Bakri to do the task with additional overtime and bonus. The only catch is that they have to deliver a Chinese-style large wooden coffin on time. For the extra money, the two men take on the job and travel in the van through the quiet expressway. During the journey, the delivery van's radio player gets busted. To kill time, both men begin to tell ghost stories which they declare as genuine. Bakri starts off the ghost stories from his kampung that involves a young man and a banana tree spirit.
